The client

Located in Warriewood, Cheeky Monkeys Play House is a children’s activity centre that hosts birthday parties, before and after school care, vacation care, and has a general café and play area for children.

The brief

Cheeky Monkeys is situated in an industrial area so can be hard to find from the road. Its aim was to increase brand exposure and awareness to people who didn’t know of their location – in particular, parents with young children.

Solution

The campaign was based around the promotion of 2-4-1 deals using the Think Local platform. This enabled customers to get great value for their purchase as well experience Cheeky Monkeys. An individual social media campaign was also created using Buy Sell Swap channels on Facebook and other Facebook groups to encourage the deals.

Think Local deals

Think Local deals work like this – a new customer purchases a deal to try out your business. While at your business, they will likely purchase more items, increasing the spend with your business. If they enjoy their experience, they will become your loyal customer. Cheeky Monkeys experienced this, selling multiple 2-4-1 vouchers. Customers enjoyed their experience and turned into repeat customers.

Social media promotion

A special Facebook campaign was run on the Facebook groups, Northern Beaches Buy Sell Swap! (without the rules), as well as on Northern Beaches Mums. These campaigns proved a huge success with many deals being purchased. In one week through Think Local and Facebook promotion, there were 93 vouchers sold.

Email campaign

The Cheeky Monkeys’ deal was published multiple times in the bi-weekly Think Local e-newsletter, which is distributed to nearly 40,000 email addresses. This resulted in repeated engagement and ongoing brand recognition.

Outcome

Cheeky Monkeys have been advertising with Think Local since 2016 and in that period, they have seen over 800 new kids through the front doors with multiple deals sold and return customers. Their brand strategy enabled them to be recognised after not having any foot traffic from the street. All deals and promotions are also published in the Peninsula Living.
