I would like to thank Active Networks for their kind and professional guidance in preparing an online survey and print campaign for us. Your team recommended and managed a holistic campaign that included an online survey, double page advertorial across three magazine, competition and digital campaign. The result was a fantastic awareness piece along with a significant insight in to local resident’s health needs and an increase in our email database. Nothing was ever a problem or too hard to do. Your team have a ‘yes’ attitude. It was a pleasure working with them.”

-Debra Clark, Sydney North Primary Health Network

The client

The Sydney North Primary Health Network (SNPHN), is one of 31 Primary Health Networks established by the Australian Government to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of health and medical services for the community.

The Brief

Create an advert that will alert residents to the dangers of the flu season and drive them to visit their GP for a flu shot.  Being a first-time client Sydney North Primary Health Network needed to have a metric that reflected the success of the campaign.

Solution

A multi media campaign across web, social and print was conceived. The campaign included an advertorial, competition and survey.

Double-page Advertorial

Well written, well designed advertorial is up to six times more effective than a display advert. Print is the perfect medium to deliver the message. A recent Nielsen study has revealed that magazines are somewhat or completely trusted by 58% of people, nearly twice that of social media.

Survey

In order to measure the success of the campaign a survey was created. Residents were directed to respond to questions provided by SNPHN. Active Networks built the survey in Survey Monkey.

Competition

A competition to win an iPad was created as a means of driving traffic to the survey. The competition was part of the double page advertorial.

Social and Digital Media

Active Networks used its Facebook sites and Think Local website to promote the competition and the flu vaccination message.

Email Campaign

A banner advert supporting the campaign was published in Active Networks E-newsletter which is distributed to nearly 40,000 email addresses.

Outcome

The flu vaccination message reached 132,000 homes and businesses across the Northern Beaches and Lower North Shore. It was reinforced through social, digital and email.

The client received a database of emails addresses of residents that took the survey and a comprehensive report enabling SNPHN to better understand the regions demographic and relationship with their services.

Active Networks managed the campaign from concept to design to implementation.
